Roth is one of the top three in Hessen - Family-owned company honoured by Economics Minister Al-Wazir as a finalist in the "Hessen Champions" competition

The Roth Industries companies have created almost 50 new full-time jobs at their Hessian locations since 2018 - despite the Corona pandemic and its economic consequences. Currently, the Roth companies employ 770 people in Hessen alone, and around 1.400 worldwide. With a current trainee quota of ten percent and a takeover quota of over 90 percent, Roth companies have helped more than 900 young people find their way into professional life over the past five decades. With the start of the new training year in August, Roth employs around 60 trainees in Hessen. In addition, there are students in the dual "StudiumPlus" programme of the Technical University of Central Hessen as well as students from other universities and colleges who are gaining practical experience at Roth or writing their final thesis. In order to counter the much-cited shortage of skilled workers as an attractive employer, Roth focuses on individual offers for its employees: "Our employees are the key to our entrepreneurial success," emphasise Claus-Hinrich Roth, Christin Roth-Jäger, Dr Anne-Kathrin Roth, Matthias Donges and Marcus Schmidt, who together form the Executive Board of Roth Industries. "As a family business, we are also aware of the special responsibility in the region and always take a close look at how we can meet the diverse needs and challenges with around 1.400 employees worldwide." In doing so, the Roth Industries companies rely on a wide range of programmes and measures, which are often developed with the employee representatives and in close dialogue with the employees. "An attractive remuneration package is of course just as much a part of this as flexitime and part-time models, company pension schemes, further training plans and individual development opportunities, digital learning platforms and measures to reconcile family and career," explains HR Manager Michael Donges, "our 'Rothkehlchen' childrens crèche or our lived commitment to the Hessian Charter for the Reconciliation of Care and Work are particularly outstanding examples here, but we also take into account the special challenges of employees in different phases of their lives in many other places." Job sharing models are no exception at Roth, mobile working is just as much a matter of course as digital learning and training platforms and various health promotion offers. "Above-average length of service and a very low fluctuation rate show us that we are on the right track here," emphasises Claus-Hinrich Roth, "we are very grateful for the high level of loyalty of our employees." The award as a finalist in the "Hessen Champions" is therefore also an appreciation of the work that all Roth managers do on site.
